A Top Ten winner

The Hawick Horse webcam has been included in the latest list of Earthcam's Top 10 cams! Earthcam made the award in its January 2010 review.

The Top 10 Cams are chosen each week by EarthCam based on "quality of image, uniqueness of content and overall technical achievements in webcam technology" and the Earthcam page can be seen here.

The view

The centre of the Scottish Borders town of Hawick. The camera is moved to different angles throughout the day, and at times you may see the 1514 Memorial (aka "Hawick Horse"), or the miniature horse riders on Hamish's "Teribus Automaton" turret clock.

About the webcam

The Hawick Horse webcam is a personal project set up in June 2007 by jeweller Hamish Smith, to allow exiled Teris the chance to see what was going on in their home town.
